Food
Bring your appetite. The festival provides some of the best Puerto Rican and International Food.
Music
The festival is perhaps best known for bringing some of the best artists in Salsa music from New York to Puerto Rico. Every year showcases live music and draws people from all over the country.
Dancing
There will be constant music playing during the festival. Whether it's the DJ playing or one of the headliners blasting some great salsa music you can be assured you'll hear quality Latin music that will get you moving. Dance alone or grab a partner; it really doesn't matter. If the music moves you, do your thing.
Having Fun
Walk around the park with the family. There's something different every year. Talk to your neighbors, put your children in some rides, play dominoes but by all means enjoy yourself. The festival is about having a good family time.
Relaxing
Although not mandatory, many are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas. Find a spot with the family in the park and enjoy great food, music, dancing, and play.
FOUNDERS
Festival de la Isla strides every year to generate an everlasting tradition in the family by first building a fun zone for all children then giving the entire family a day full of fun, traditional food, cultural music and activities.
Festival de la Isla also extends a helping hand to all those who have been struggling. Every year we ask every attendee of the Festival to bring canned food as a donation for those who are in need in our community. Volunteers will be at the front gate collecting your donations.
“And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do no loosen and relax our courage and faint. So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good to all people.” Galatians 6:9-10
Family unity means maintaining the family identity and togetherness while balancing priorities with support for each individual. Family unity produces strong bonds and freedom to have and form:

We believe in Family Unity…
Although Festival de la Isla is a Puerto Rican Cultural Event, it’s focused on All Nationalities for Family Unity. By attending this event on this day we will all become One Strong Family. Strong families recognize that there are benefits and pleasures to be gained by doing activities together. The value of Family Unity is to preserve time together for family activities and interaction. It also means maintaining family identity and togetherness, balancing family priorities, producing strong family bonds, and freedom for individual self-expression. You will enjoy this Blessed day for great Salsa entertainment as One Big Family. If you have been struggling in this area as we all have, look to our all mighty God for his guidance and putting our trust and faith in him.

Every year we ask every single person, adult, and children to bring one Can of Food as a donation for those who are in need. The Father’s House volunteers will be at the front gate collecting your donations. For more information please see their websites.
